Jason Kuttner MA, LPC, CADC I

Licensed Professional Counselor
Certified Addictions Counselor

As a counseling professional, I work with people who want to make changes in their lives. All people have the capacity to live healthy, balanced, more satisfying lives and can at times get stuck in self-defeating emotion, thought, and behavior patterns. Sometimes in order to work through these difficulties, you need impartial support and guidance.

I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem, grief and loss, chronic pain, relationships, sexuality, compulsive behaviors, and substance abuse. I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling at Portland State University and regularly engage in continuing education in order to stay current with best practice guidelines. I have gained valuable experiences working at Outside In, Clackamas County Mental Health, and from three years of private practice. My training includes cognitive behavioral, motivational enhancement, and solution focused therapeutic models. I employ these models in a practical person-centered manner, always prioritizing you, the client, over the counseling theories.

I respect all lifestyles and I am equally comfortable working with straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, polyamorous, and questioning clients. I charge $100 for a one hour session, and offer a limited number of sliding scale slots if you are unable to afford my fee. If you require services which are outside of my areas of expertise, I maintain an extensive referral list of other practitioners, programs, and physicians.

Please feel free to call or email if you have any questions. I happily provide a free initial consultation to determine if working together will be a good fit.
